Labor Day

On Friday August 29th we went to Spanish Fork for Dax's baseball tournament. His first game was at 4:30 and they won, the next game was at 6:30 but they weren't so fortunate. They did really good the whole game and the score was 6-3 for us but in the last inning the other team starting hitting really good. They lost 12-6. On Saturday their first game was at 11:30 and the same thing happened, they played really good and then lost it in the end. Our last game was at 3:30 and they played the Lehi Tigers, we knew this was going to be a hard game because the Lehi Tigers have won the Tournament of Champions for the last 3 years. Dax did have an awesome hit, if they would have had the fences up for regular little league field it would have went over but they didn't and so he ran to 3rd and his coach sent him home and they got him out at home. He was so sad but he said he was just going to tell everyone he hit it over. As soon as their game got over we ran Dax and his best friend Kache White to the BYU football game with my mom, dad, Kody and his best friend Kolby White. The game was sold out and they were not letting anyone in so Karl, Kailee and I sat outside the gate until the middle of the 4th quarter and then they finally quit taking tickets so then we could go in and see the rest, BYU won 41-17 (I think). After the game got over we went to dinner with the White's at Olive Garden after waiting an hour and a half to get in we finally had some dinner. Then of course the kids all needed an 11:00 swim to get them ready for bed. Our weekend did not end there, on Sunday we decided to drive up to Park City and stay the night. We had lots of big plans and things we wanted to do but the weather didn't cooperate it was cold and rainy. Of course we had to make a quick trip to instacare because Karl went into anaphylactic shock, something that is happening quite a bit lately. They gave him some epinephrine and solumedrol and then he was good again and could breath. On Monday we went the back way to Provo and it was absolutely gorgeous, I love it up there. The leaves were just barely starting to change but it was a great ride.
We made it home in time to have dutch oven potatoes at my mom and dad's house, they were yummy, now it is back to real life.
